Kikadini Villas is a small full-service hotel, consisting of 3 separate beachfront villas (Villa Maroc, Villa Palm and Villa Pwani), located along a 160m beachfront property in the middle of Jambiani. The villas are all different, ranging in size from 140 sqm to 400 sqm, and each villa has either 2 or 3 double rooms – in addition to patio, living room and terraces.
The villas are all designed and built by the owners, and reflect their fascination for Arabic architecture and atmosphere. A lot of attention has gone into designing and furnishing the villas to create this magic ‘Arabian Nights’ feel – arches, finishing, lamps, rugs, furniture, paintings.
Each villa is serviced by a housekeeper, a waiter and a chef – your personal team of staff that will stay with you for your entire stay.
Villa Maroc
Villa Maroc is perfect for a
honeymoon couple, or a family of 4. The villa has one master bedroom on the second floor, with large double doors opening up to a private 30 sqm terrace, with own open-air bathtub, shadow sofa, sun chairs and a small dining table. The villa has an additional but smaller double room on the ground floor (also with own bathroom). In addition the villa has a
spacious living room and outside terraces for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Total space is 140 sqm.
Villa Pwani
Villa Pwani is perfect for either one or two couples. The villa has two beachfront double rooms, with private beachfront terraces outside. Both rooms have double beds, and we can add a single bed to each of the rooms. The villa has a
spacious patio and living room space, with dining table and sofas. The whole second floor is a roof top terrace, with dining space and lounge space, as well as an open-air bathtub. Total space is 300 sqm.
Villa Palm
Villa Palm is perfect for a group of two or three couples. The villa has three double rooms, two of which are facing the sea and the third facing garden but with beachview. One of the rooms is a suite of 80 sqm, with a 25 sqm private terrace and its own open-air bathtub, shadow sofa and sun chairs. In addition the villa has a fantastic patio and living room, and a truly amazing third floor roof-top
terrace – perfect for late afternoon drinks.
Rooms
In total the hotel has 8-9 double rooms, all different, both in terms of size and design. Common for all the rooms is that they are spacious (no room smaller than 35 sqm – and the suite is 80 sqm), and are designed with an ‘Arabian Nights’ atmosphere in mind.
All rooms are equipped with double beds. If a twin room is required, an additional single bed will be put in the room - thus giving a double bed and single bed.
Due to the sea breeze there is generally no problem with mosquitoes. There are however mosquito nets in all rooms, mosquito netting on windows, and housekeeping spray at turn down each evening at 7.30pm.
Showers are fresh water (both cold and hot).
Bottled mineral water is provided in rooms and replaced daily.
Beach towels and bath towels are provided in all rooms.
Facilities
Snorkeling, fishing, excursions, bike/motorbike hire, etc are offered by local partners in Jambiani.
There is a boat for snorkeling at the reef, as well as a local fisherman with ngalawa (local dhow) available for sailing.
Guests who bring their own laptops are welcome to log onto the wireless connection provided.
Restaurant and Bar
Bookings are offered on a Half-board basis only. This is for two reasons: Kikadini Villas offer some of the best food on the island, and the night-time atmosphere in the villas is a key element of the experience offered to their guests. Full Board is generally not offered as lunchtime is the period where guests will be out of the hotel on excursions. However, lunch is available given advance notice.
All your meals will be prepared and served in your villa, by your chef and waiter.
Early morning Teas / Coffees available prior to breakfast, if notified in advance.
Breakfast – fruit, bread, pancakes, eggs with fruit juice and tea / coffee.
Served 7.30am to 10am
Lunch – 1 course set menu which changes daily with a choice of 2 main dishes.
Served 1pm to 3pm
Dinner – 3 course set menu with starter, main dish, dessert and coffee/tea/sweets.
Served 7.30pm to 9pm
Cocktails and peanuts / olives served from 6pm onwards in the lounge area in the villas.
Bar services are open all day, and there is a good selection of spirits, sodas, fresh fruit juices, and a predominantly South African wine list.
Child Policy
There is a minimum age policy of 10 years when renting a villa.
